Childhood Memories: Composed and arranged by Gary and originally entitled “School Yard Suite” this advanced level chart is in three movements. The 1st movement is “Tag” which symbolizes with the saxophones how children chase one another in this game. There is improvisation required in the Tenor and Alto parts. The 2nd movement is “Romance” and symbolizes a schoolyard romance depicted by the interplay between the Soprano and Tenor saxophones with improvisation required in both parts. The final movement is “Hide and Seek” and like “Tag” utilizes the four saxophones as four children playing a game. This movement is played at a brisk tempo in 3/4 time and is quite technically challenging. There is no improvisation in this movement however each of the saxophones is featured on the themes. Waltz for Joshua: Composed and arranged by Gary, this arrangement is for SATB plus Violin soloist and is moderately difficult. The violin part requires classical technique and the ability to “swing” some of the written music and improvise in a jazz style. There is also improvisation in the Soprano part. [$35.00]
